After a good night sleep and breakfast at a Super 8 motel we took our car for a long drive. Our goal of today was to start the Highway One Scenic Drive to San Francisco. We had to drive to the coast first. To get there we had to drive through vineyards and pumpjacks. After enjoying a sandwich at a Subway we finally ended at the coast. We enjoyed the view very much. The coast line is rough and wild. We ended up our drive for today  in a motel in San Simeon. The main attraction in that small town is a mansion called Hearst Castle. Build for newspaper magnate William Randolph Hearst in the 20th century. We drove to it’s visitors center. Sadly you could not drive to castle itself. We took some pictures from a distant and returned to the motel. The motel had a pool so I went for a swim. We ended our day for a lovely dinner in the restaurant next door.
